What is Spiritual Counseling?

We are all on a journey of self-discovery and self-healing. We all carry spiritual wounds, and these spiritual wounds can manifest in real physical ways. Truly, the body holds our spiritual traumas. The body holds our religious traumas, our hurts, and pains that we have carried through life. Spiritual counseling is a wonderful way to help learn how to embrace, as well as release, some of our pain bodies. This is done through spiritual practices, such as: meditation, contemplative hiking, breathing techniques, silence, embodiment practices, yoga, and learning to safely tell your story,

Warts and all.

At Northwest Wisdom, spiritual counseling provides you the space for safe and gentle guidance into your own spiritual awakening and growth. Spiritual counseling is a way to share your story, and be allowed a safe companion for the journey. Sometimes we need a gentle nudge, or a shift in our perspective. Sometimes we just need someone to listen and help us navigate our own spirituality, and that’s okay! We’re here to help. We just want to remind you, you are okay, and we want you to come as you are, warts and all. We promise that we’ll come as ourselves too.

All people, everywhere.

At Northwest Wisdom, we welcome all people. It’s our life-mission to make you feel safe, loved, and welcome. Our doors are open to people of all faiths, all genders, all beliefs, all sexual orientations, and all races. Whether you’re buddhist, Catholic, Baptist, Jewish, Neo-Spiritual, Taoist, Muslim, Agnostic, Atheist or Experimental, we understand that everyone is on a journey of self-discovery. We welcome people of all sexual preferences. We are a safe place for LGBTQ, trans lives, and Black Lives Matter. We want you to come as you are. After all, you can’t really discover who you are, if you are showing up as someone else.
